How can NBA referees maintain credibility and honesty when constantly conversing with players during a game?

1. Watching the recently NBA playoffs offs and the incorrect calls or no calls against one team during a particular game.

2. MBL has had some problems but no umpire is permitted to talk to players as in the NBA

3 The NFL does not allow coversations with players the way the NBA does

4. I have only seen a few soccer games but officials handle themselves well.|||they can't|||Yeah, referees have shoulden't be allowed to hang out and talk to players. The league should fine the refs for it. Because it is making a stain on the league, making it look like there the ones doing the fixing of games.

|||I'm glad you brought up this question because I also feel that the constant conversing with players during the game can create a bias. What if one player is better at schmoozing the official? Does that mean he should get more calls in his favor?

I find it amazing because it's one of the few sports where players actually allowed and even encouraged to talk with the officials after being called for a foul.|||so they wont get jumped|||Because of Lakers fans..|||It all depends on them, It's their choice to be alive or dead. really, mob still works. The only refs that the nba can really trust are the vets. like dick Bevetta.|||The referees get paid to do a job, their only human and they will make mistakes they can't get every call right because they can't see every call.

The players do converse with the refs in football and the umpires In baseball.

If you look closely when you're watching a football game sometimes you'll see a player walking alongside the referee talking to him he's just not allowed to touch him.

in baseball it is usually about an argument over a bad call or call they thought was bad.|||NO DAM IDEA|||asdf|||That is a great point. The nba should look into this. 'great thought'
