Who determines the credibility of witnesses?

Does the judge and jury decide the credibility of witnesses?


I live in Canada, btw.|||In the US, the jury makes that determination. Lawyers will try to undermine the credibility of witnesses if they think it will help their client.|||One way to determine if a witness is credible is cross-examination. Too bad we can't cross-examine the alleged eyewitnesses who say they saw the resurrected Chrestus.





"There were eyewitnesses!"


"Put them on the stand"


"They're dead!"


"Case dismissed" (gavel falls)|||Wrong section, unless we're talking about the Bible here...
