What gives one person credibility over another?

What influences credibility? Who do you believe are credible people?


Thanks|||Credible people are educated or have knowledge of a subject. Like mechanics or doctors.



These people are credible ONLY if their word is good though. They have to tell the truth and put your best interests first.



I don't mean specifically their job/career. I mean everything.



Credibility is what you know and your honesty.|||Its not what a person does for a living as sort of stated above. It plain and simply has to do with a persons history, behavior, and intellectual honesty.
