When is credibility more important, and when is it less important?

Support your answers with specific examples. What questions might you ask in order to determine the credibility of online sources?|||Some questions to ask yourself in determining credibility:


1. Is this a reliable/trustworthy source?


2. How has the author of this information proven their knowledge in this field (has the person been published in multiple sources? Are they affiliated with a university or reputable company?)


3. Is the author/source of this information readily available and easy to find?


4. Does the author cite other sources? Provide facts and statistics?


5. What does the author have to gain from providing me with this information? Will they benefit from misleading me?


6. Is this information backed up in other sources?|||If something is peer reviewed or not is typically how they establish credibility for academic journals.
