Why does the media give the political opinions of Hollywood actors, credibility?

Hollywood egotists live lives of selfishness, elitism, arrogance, nihilism, multiple marriages, substance abuse, horrific parenting and hedonism.





Why in the world does anyone care about the political opinions of "limousine liberals" like Sean Penn, Timothy Sarandon and George Clooney? However, if you oppose communism in Hollywood, you will be black-balled the same way that liberals complained about Joseph McCarthy's tactics.





Hollywood celebrities are not worthy of praise, idolism or respect but the liberal media panders to them as if their opinions are important.





Why would anyone care about Sean Penn's political opinions?|||They are on the SAME TEAM.








One lies, and the other lends credibility to it.





Do you have any idea how many people feel "informed" after watching Bill Maher or John Stewart?





How many nod their heads in blind agreement when Rosie O'Donnel, Springsteen or Sean Penn say something completely unfounded and outright stupid?





It's crazy.... but it's all part of what happens when we let our "free press" become owned (in whole or part) by PRODUCTION companies and TV networks.....





There is no more Journalism in America.... there is no more "free press". There's just a HUGE biased conglomerate and then Fox News fighting to defend itself from attackers who don't even take the time to watch them.|||If "Entertainment Tonight" and other such TV programs don't highlight the adulation American Youth have for those Hollywood cardboard cut-outs, you'll never understand the correct answer to your question.

Try running a great nation THAT way.|||Exactly! I could give a rat's butt what these overpaid, arrogant, egotists think about anything! Unfortunately, this celebrity crazed society in which we reside take everything out of their mouths as though it were prophetic.|||Some people in this country are fickle enough to vote for someone just because their favorite celebrity campaigns for them.|||Only because it sells to the "star struck" ignorant fools who care what they think.|||Because they're rich and the media are elitists.|||Because they support and agree with them.
