Every major psychological and psychiatric organization has declared that homosexuality is NOT a mental disorder, is NOT a choice, and can NOT be changed. Why is it then that there are people who, without a degree in psycology, psychiatry, or, hey, even -philosophy- refute this? Do they really think they have any credibility? It's like a cook claiming that E does not equal MC^2 just because he doesn't think it's right.|||I agree, man.
I think people think that they do have credibility when they have a Bible or a bad case of homophobia.|||If I had to guess, I'd say they have a psychological disorder of their own; they can't accept the discovery that they're wrong. And they will battle that to the death, simply because they can't bring themself to believe that they could be wrong.
These people can't accept that there are people different from them and blame every 'philia that they can on that difference to demonize it.
They are stone, cold, f*ck, nuts.
It's an old clip, and I keep wondering how much mileage I'm going to get out of letting Lewis Black explain it for me from a straight person's view on how homosexuality should be viewed.

D|||Well, the reason is because many people have gay friends that went through a load changes. No, it's not a choice, but they CAN go back to being straight if they felt that away again. So your "cannot be changed" statement doesn't seem true. I'm not pointing fingers at proven studies, but they're only taking a general percentage of homosexuals and study them. This does not mean, however, that every gay person is this way (such as they can't change- why couldn't they? I've seen it happen).|||some people fear being wrong because then they would have to face real life.
